Blekinge

A weekend in Belganet in Blekinge

The autumn is now. In Sweden this year it'si rainy and gray days. It also mean that the Forrest change it's colors to the most beautiful palette.  It also mean that you need to go out and enjoy it.

This weekend we spend in our cabin and I like to share some of scenery with you.

All the pictures was taken with my XT1 and XF50-140

In the old days there was a nailmill in this little village Belganet in the middle of the woods. This is kind of a special place, with the rest of a mill dam and also the canal in to the mill. Water is always special and if it's floating fast it's even better.

It's quit interesting to walk around in this historic area. This man started this mill 1859 and he was the first and last person to run the mill under about 40 years. I like to see how it was back then when it was running fully.

The water runs very slowly on the the low side of the mill and make this beautiful reflections. Just missing a huge Älg standing there and drinkiing.

If you are interested to know more about it and make a visit. You just go to the "Vildmarkscafét" in Belganet. You can park here and continue on that road for a couple of 100 meters and you will find a little sign showing you to it. You will hear the sound of the water if you visit in the spring or in the fall.
You can also read a lot more about theses small mills here

The nature in the surroundings are also quite nice with some wild forest in a typical way with a lot of green moss.
